Award-Winning Dedication to Service

Tau Chi FIJI puts our values into action every year through service projects and fundraising for our philanthropic causes. For the 2022-2023, FIJI was honored by the TCU Interfraternity Council with the Philanthropy of the Year award as the most exemplary chapter on campus committed to giving and service.

Below, you can learn more about each of these causes and our work in recent years. Our members believe it is our duty to give back by helping those in need, from veterans to children with illness.

Our Causes:

United Service Organizations (USO)

Our chapter is proud to host events annually raising money for the USO (Phi Gamma Delta's national philanthropy). One of the largest events of the year is our Casino Night for undergraduates, graduate members, and their guests. In 2016, the chapter raised a record $16,000. With our collective efforts, we hope to break this record in the coming years.

Arise Africa

Starting in 2021, the chapter began working with Fort Worth-based nonprofit Arise Africa which provides housing and education to underprivileged children in Zambia. FIJI has supported their efforts through a variety of means, including holding donation drives, raising money, and volunteering at their headquarters. In Fall 2022, the chapter raised over $15,000 in matched donations to support their work.

"The greatest place of command is really the place of obedience, and the greatest place of honor is really the place of service."
